Basketball Who’s got game???

History The game of basketball was created in 1891 by Dr. James Naismith. Basketball was originally played with a soccer ball. Peach baskets were originally used as baskets. Peach baskets were closed, and balls had to be retrieved manually by cutting a small hole in the bottom of the peach basket and poking the ball out using a stick. In 1906 metal hoops, nets and backboards introduced.

History In 1906 metal hoops, nets and backboards introduced. The first official game was played in a YMCA gymnasium in Albany, New York on January 20, 1892 with teams of nine players on the court at one time. The game ended at 1–0. By 1897–1898 teams of five on the court became standard. Dribbling was not a part of the original game of basketball. Passing was the primary source of movement.
