SIGNS/SYMPTOMS heel pain numbness or burning sensation after activity swelling lumps scars bruising foot deformities recurrent fever multiple joint pains loss of appetite weight/pain at night can indicate a tumor
STATISTICS Panchbhavi states that more than 2 million Americans seek treatment for plantar fasciitis per year According to Young, it is twice as common in women than men Panchbhavi claims that the average age is about 45 years old Persich says that it accounts for about 10% of runner-related injuries 11-15% of all foot symptoms requiring professional care according to Persich
