Healthy Eating Questionnaire By Year 2 Children (6 and 7 year olds) Glory Farm School, Bicester, UK

We found out that… 10% of the children we interviewed did not eat any vegetables But 90% did!

We found out that… 12% of the children we interviewed thought that things which contain sugar are healthy But 88% did not! We explained that some fruits have natural sugars and so not all sugars are bad

We found out that… 20% of the children we interviewed did not eat 5 fruit and vegetables a day But… 80% did! We explain the importance of eating 5 fruit and vegetables a day and how important it is to have a balanced diet

We found out that… 10% of the children we interviewed did not eat breakfast, but we are not sure if they were telling the truth! But 90% do eat breakfast every day. We know it is the most important meal of the day!

We found out that… 10% of the children we interviewed did not keep fit, but we know that every child in school participates in outdoor play daily and in active sports But 90% do think they have an active and healthy lifestyle!

Overall we think our school is a healthy school, but we could be better! We are going to promote our Juicy Fruit trolley more and make sure we keep fit by being involved in active sports!
