THE GOTHIC ART

Gothic art is characterized by the accentuated verticality of the proportions, the use of ogive arches, the great-stained windows of the churches, the high pillars and the perfection of the sculptures.

Some beautiful examples of Italian Gothic Architecture

Some Italian Gothic Pictures and Sculptures

Italian Fashion in the Gothic Period The brightness of the windows was recreated in the transparent sheen of the silks and in the softness of the velvets. The pillars and the spires, tending towards the sky, were imitated by the long dresses with drapes, trains and long sleeves

Some Beautiful Examples of Italian Renaissance Architecture
