Doctrine of Premillennialism They believe that Christ will return to this earth to establish an earthly kingdom. He will rule in splendor over this kingdom for 1,000 years with Jerusalem as the capitol. THE DOCTRINE OF PREMILLENNIALISM
Doctrine of Premillennialism Teach that O.T. prophecies about a Messiah and His Kingdom is an earthly kingdom. First coming was to set up this earthly kingdom. Jews rejected Jesus and set up the church. Believe Christ will return to earth and set up His earthly Kingdom with Jerusalem as capitol and reign for 1,000 years. 1. They believe and teach that the O.T. prophecies about a Messiah and his kingdom refer to an earthly kingdom with the Messiah ruling over the fleshly nation of Israel. 2. They teach that the purpose of the 1st coming of Christ was to set up this earthly kingdom in Jerusalem and to reign 1,000 years. 3. Because the Jews rejected Him as King, He postponed establishment of the kingdom and set up the church as an after-thought. 4. They believe Christ will return to this earth and set up His Kingdom in Jerusalem and reign 1,000 years upon the throne of David.
Doctrine of Premillennialism Rapture - secret snatching away of the church. Tribulation - 7 years of persecution 3 ½ years of peace - rebuild temple Anti-Christ sit in temple End with battle of Armageddon Kingdom set up Christ returns to earth Rules for 1,000 years The Premillennialist view about future events... 1. Rapture = means to snatch away, or take out. They believe there will be a secret snatching away of the church. Christ will come secretly and take away the resurrected bodies of those who have died as Christians and those who are living Christians 2. Tribulation = They believe there will be 7 years of persecution a. It was to begin with temporary peace, but the Jews will rebuild the temple within 3 ½ years at Jerusalem. b. A world leader who claims to be God will sit in the temple and rule the nations. This is the anti-Christ. c. During this time, many terrible events will take place. Those who become believers during this period will most likely be killed or persecuted. Death will come to any who refuse to worship the beast. d. The tribulation period will end with the great battle of Armageddon. The world leader will be overthrown! 3. The kingdom set up - Christ returns literally to this earth and sets up his kingdom over which he will rule for 1,000 years.

Premillennialism is False Kingdom established after death of Christ Matt. 3:2 “kingdom is at hand” Matt. 10:7 “kingdom of heaven is at hand” Matt. 4:17 “the kingdom of heaven is at hand” Mk. 9:1 - Some present would not die until they saw the kingdom come with power Acts 2 - the power came on Pentecost THE DOCTRINE OF PREMILLENNIALISM IS FALSE A. The Premillennial Kingdom theory is False 1. The Kingdom of God was established shortly after the death of Christ a. Kingdom was at hand (1) Matthew 3:2 John Baptist “And saying, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (2) Matthew 10:7 Jesus sent 12 apostles “And as you go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (3) Mt. 4:17 “From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” b. According to Mk. 9:1 some there would not die until they saw the kingdom come “"Assuredly, I say to you that there are some standing here who will not taste death till they see the kingdom of God present with power.” c. The power came on Pentecost as recorded in Acts 2 (HS) and the church was established - Acts 2:47b “And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”
Premillennialism is False Kingdom established after death of Christ Matt. 16:18-19 - church and kingdom same thing Col. 1:13 - “into the kingdom” Rev. 1:9 - “companion in the tribulation and kingdom” Eph. 3:10-11 - church was not an afterthought 1. The church and the kingdom are the same thing - Matthew 16:18-19 “And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom.” 2. The Early Christians were in the Kingdom a. Colossians 1:13 “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love” b. In Revelation 1:9 we read that John was in the Kingdom “I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom” c. The church and the kingdom are the same, and it was established about 2,000 years ago on the day of Pentecost after the death of Christ. 3. The Church was not an accident - not an after thought a. Ephesians 3:10-11 talks about the eternal purpose of God b. The church was planned by God from eternity c. It was not an emergency plan put into operation when an original plan failed. d. If God’s plan failed before (as they teach) then it could fail again ! e. To say that God’s plan failed and He changed His plans is to imply that God is not all powerful nor all knowing. It is an indictment against the character of God!
Premillennialism is False “Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.” Jn. 18:36 1. God is perfect, and He promised to build the Church or Kingdom, and it was done nearly 2,000 years ago. 2. John 18:36 - kingdom not earthly “Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”
Premillennialism is False Rapture theory is False 1 Thess. 4:13-14 nothing about a secret coming The word “rapture” is not in the Bible Has 3 comings of Jesus - not 1 The Rapture theory is false 1. Key passage - 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 “But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.” a. The word Rapture is not found in the Bible b. It comes from the Latin word “rapare” which means to take away or snatch out c. This passage in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 says nothing about a secret coming nor about 2 comings 2. The rapture theory has 3 comings of Jesus - not one as in the Bible a. 1st for the rapture b. A 2nd at the end of the tribulation when Christ will come to the earth c. A 3rd at the end of the 1,000 year reign

Premillennialism is False Tribulation theory is False Matt. 24:21 “For then will be great tribulation” v. 16 - disciples to flee to the mountains v. 20 - flight from Jerusalem not in winter v. 21 - happened to that generation This tribulation was the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD Jn. 16:33 “In the world you shall have tribulation” tribulation = affliction, persecutions, distress The Tribulation Theory is false 1. It is in part based on Matthew 24:21 “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be..” a. There are many reasons why this passage cannot refer to the 1,000 year tribulation when Christ returns b. In Matthew 24:16 the disciples are commanded to flee to the mountains. The millennial tribulation theory says the disciples will be up in heaven with Jesus so there would be no disciples left on the earth to flee to the mountains. c. In v. 20 the disciples were told to pray that their flight from Jerusalem should not be in the winter. How could they not flee from Jerusalem if they were in Heaven with Jesus. There is no winter in heaven. d. According to v. 21 this tribulation happened to that generation. 2. The Tribulation mentioned here was the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70! The tribulation here has nothing to do with the end of time or Jesus’ return, but the destruction of Jerusalem. 3. The Lord assures us that we will have a tribulation throughout the Christian age. a. John 16:33 “...in the world you shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” b. Tribulation = affliction, persecutions, troubles, distress, burdens

Those who will reign are Christ and “Souls” a. These souls have no bodies for they have died and are in the waiting period between death and resurrection b. This is not a literal earthly reign 3. Reign is in heaven not on the earth a. Christ is described as being in heaven in the book of Revelation b. The souls are described as in heaven - Rev. 6:9 c. No reason from this passage to understand that they have come to the earth 4. The key, chain, bottomless pit, 1,000 years are all figurative !!
Premillennialism is False False Idea of Land Promise to Jews Land promise already fulfilled Gen. 17:8 - promise Josh. 21:43-45 - fulfilled “So the LORD gave to Israel all the land of which He had sworn to give to their fathers, and they took possession of it and dwelt in it.” v. 43 False Idea of Land promised to the Jews 1. (1) Genesis 17:8 - Promise (2) Joshua 21:43-45 = fulfilled - v. 43 “So the LORD gave to Israel all the land of which He had sworn to give to their fathers, and they took possession of it and dwelt in it” b. They are already fulfilled and are not to be fulfilled when Christ comes again c. The Jews will not go back to Jerusalem and reign with Christ. There is no Bible teaching for such a doctrine. 2. Rightly Divide - 2 Timothy 2:15 a. Genesis 6:14 “make thee an ark of gopher wood.” b. This does not apply to us today !
