Our Eight Planets? In our solar system we have eight planets. Those eight planets are called, Pluto, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Venus, mercury, Neptune, Earth, moon, and the sun.

Revolution, Revolve, and Rotation? In our solar system Earth will revolve around the sun every month. Also Earth will make its rotation around the sun every 365 days. Second Earth will rotate around the sun every month.

What seasons does Earth have? Why does Earth have seasons? Earth has winter, fall, spring, and summer.

Why is Earth unique? First, it’s the only planet in our solar system that has life. Second, it has a breathable atmosphere. Lastly, Earth has water.

What is Mars? Mars is the fourth planet from the sun and the next planet beyond Earth. It is, on average, more than 142 million miles from the sun. Mars is about one-sixth the size of the Earth. It gets its red color from the iron in its soil.

Why is Earth the only planet in our Solar System that has life? Earth has a breathable atmosphere. Also Earth’s atmosphere contains a small amount of carbon dioxide. Lastly, Earth has oxygen. It is the type of gas that is needed for most creatures to survive.

About Mars and the Earth Mars’ size is about 2,106 miles (3,390 kilometers). Earth’s size is about 3,959 miles(6,371 kilometers).

About Mars and Earth Mars’ atmosphere is about 95 percent carbon dioxide. Earth’s atmosphere is just layers of gasses.

About Mars and Earth Mars is a dry barren wasteland. Earth is 70 percent water and 30 percent land.

About Mars and Earth Mars has 2 moons. Earth only has 1 moon.

About Mars and Earth Mars’ length of day is 1 day and 40 minutes. Earth’s length of day is 24 hours.

About Mars and Earth Mars’ length of year is days. Earth’s length of year is 365 days.

About Mars and Earth Mars’ surface gravity is Earth’s surface gravity is 9.78.

About Mars and Earth Mars’ temperature range is 80f and 60c. Earth’s temperature range is - 126f and 136f.

About Mars and Earth Mars’ distance from the sun is 141,600,000 miles and 227,900,000 kilometers. Earth’s distance from the sun is 92,960,000 miles and 149,600,000 kilometers.

Neptune Neptune has 13 moons. Neptune is 2,798,000,000 miles and 4,503,000,000 kilometers. Neptune’s distance from the sun is 15,299 miles and 24,622 kilometers.
