What is the LSI Legal Solutions Plus Importer? The LSI Legal Solutions Plus Importer is a software program that enables Legal Solution Plus customers like you to easily transfer your Legal Solutions Plus profile information to your new ProDoc document assembly system. This “LSI Importer” will migrate client information, and the corresponding case information, to ProDoc. 2

What are the advantages of ProDoc over Legal Solutions Plus? Legal Solutions Plus is a good forms product but ProDoc offers much more time-savings and reduction of errors. Of course time- savings means it saves you money. Advantages of ProDoc over Legal Solutions Plus include: ProDoc saves all your client and case data so you enter information once for the life of each case. The ProDoc Form Sets feature enables you to generate an unlimited number of case related forms simultaneously. ProDoc saves final forms as word processor or PDF files so you can save your work product into your electronic case file. ProDoc enables you to create default answer sets for each attorney in your firm. ProDoc PowerPacks save even more drafting time by speeding data entry and performing many calculations automatically for you. 3

Where do I find the LSI Legal Solutions Plus Importer and how do I get started? Click here for information about and to download the Importer.Click here When you download the Importer program, an Importer icon will automatically be created on your desktop from which you can begin the import process. The Importer software only imports LSI data when you run it on a computer or server on which both the Legal Solutions Plus software and the ProDoc Document Assembly software are installed. Customer Convenience & Assistance The import process is very easy and will save you a great deal of time otherwise needed to retype all your LSI profile information in ProDoc. There is no additional charge for the Importer. If you would like assistance with the Importer, please contact ProDoc Technical Support at (choose the Technical Support option). The profile import process usually takes about 20 minutes for about 100 hundred clients with 2 cases on each client; however, this can vary greatly depending on the number of cases per client and on the speed of your computer. 5

What happens after the Import is complete? You should go to “Client/Case Manager” and view the imported information to verify the data is in the correct form. At the ProDoc main menu click “Clients & Cases” to view the “Client/Case Manager” in order to access the client and case data. If the client name information needs changes, highlight the name and click Update Client. Please note that the Importer will not migrate Legal Solutions Plus templates nor completed forms. With this Importer, you will maintain the profile data reuse capability that you experienced with LSI. In addition, as you use ProDoc, you will find that you will experience increasing time savings beyond profile data in terms of client case information that needed to be entered multiple times with LSI but now only once with ProDoc (examples include the name, address, telephone and fax numbers of buyers and sellers in a real estate matter; and the name, address, and relationship of all the beneficiaries in a probate matter.) 10

Imported data automatically included during document assembly Imported case profile data will be used by ProDoc when the specific information is asked for during an assembly session; it will allow you to accept it as imported, or you can change it. Here you may accept the defendant name as Hector Padilla or change it. 11

Consequences of Importing Multiple Times It is best to only run the LSI Importer one time by choosing all the clients you want to import into ProDoc the first time you run the program. If the same data is imported again, the case data is duplicated in ProDoc with a number added in parentheses corresponding to the number of times it has been imported. This safeguard was put in place to prevent you from inadvertently overriding your data. Therefore, it is best to run your LSI Importer one time after having selected all the clients you want to import into ProDoc. 12
