South Beach Xtreme Sports Looking to increase business? Elevate your incomes without wiping out your wallet? Can this even be possible?

Indeed it is. Since 1927, our paper has been striving to inform students and businesses around the Miami Beach community and has succeeded in doing so. Along with this, we focus on local up-and-coming businesses that show great potential but fall short in the advertising scene. The Beachcomber gives opportunities, to businesses such as yours, to become known by not only the 2,000+ students at Beach High, but to the remaining 3,000 people who receive The Beachcomber. Introducing The Beachcomber

Mission Statement As a paper, we strive to inform the Beach High student body and the Miami Beach Community about the latest events, news, features, etc. Part of our efforts are also focused around getting local businesses noticed and acknowledged in our paper, as well as showing the business their true potential to grow as a store and expand their horizons.

Advertising Attempts? “What? South Beach Xtreme Sports? I’ve never heard of it” - Serene Gato, sophomore “The only [sports] shop I’ve heard of is Sports Authority and that’s where I go whenever I need something athletic” – Julio Lopez, senior “I went there once. It’s a good small shop with great gear but it was pretty dead so I never went back” – Carla Barrionuevo, sophomore

“Me and my friends don't participate in any sports but we're interested in joining but we don’t see many ads for sports shops anywhere. If the Beachcomber had an ad for a place I would definitely go, and I'm sure my friends would too” -Maria Morales, sophomore “Me and my friends don't participate in any sports but we're interested in joining but we don’t see many ads for sports shops anywhere. Hakuna Matata According to a recent survey conducted at Beach High, 22.3% of students claimed to not know of Blissberry before they put an ad in the paper. Shockingly, an amazing 72% say they were aware of it after they saw it in The Beachcomber. “Thank you Beachcomber! Adve rtising in your newspaper has brought Blissberry great customers. Survey says… Of these students who play sports, 56% of them claimed that they need new equipment, gear, or athletic wear every month. Of all the students polled, LESS THAN 5% have heard of your shop, yet 44% claim to have visited South Beach within the past month.
