In the cab of both vehicles, a radial signal is constantly being transmitted to a distance from the vehicle specified by the user upon installation and configuration of the system Any number of ground personnel can be equipped with a proximity tag that sets off the in –cab alarm system in any number of vehicles, immediately alerting the drivers of the personnel's presence inside their proximity zone. At that specified distance, the in-cab units located in both vehicles have receivers that detect one another’s signal, setting off the audible and visual alarm system to alert the drivers of the two vehicles that they have reached that critical distance between them at that moment, enabling them to immediately react even if they are both located within one another’s ‘blind spots’ of vision.` Distributors for: WIRELESS PROXIMITY ALARM SYSTEMS

What are the benefits of this Product? Lowers risk of collision Provides instant alert for operators Adds another layer of protection in safety system Operates in most industrial working environments Pro-Active tool for managing risk

What are the benefits of this Product? Anyone involved in industrial operations knows that risk reduction and increased productivity go hand in hand in the long run. The most practical initial step we can take in achieving this risk reduction is to identify the exact circumstance and practices in the workplace that are accompanied by the highest risk factor. The following bar graph was extracted from a publication entitled “Notified Fatalities Statistical Report ” published by WorkSafe Australia in May This is available for download on their website.

The categories outlined in red represent those causes of fatalities which could be significantly reduced by some form of collision avoidance technology that identifies when any machinery/vehicle or individual is within a certain proximity of another vehicle or fixed equipment. As you can see in the graph, these categories represent 51.25% of all worker fatalities in the last 7 years in Australia.

Why we have chosen to become distributors for the Orbit Proximity Alarm System  A Product that has been manufactured with ISO Quality Assured components  Direct and collaborative relationship with the manufacturer, who is based and operates in Australia  Having this relationship has enabled us to adapt and develop the system in ways which suit a wide range of clients, with a wide range of applications.  Increasing Work place safety conditions and productivity is the cornerstone of our organisation and its activities.

Why we have chosen to become distributors for the Orbit Proximity Alarm System  Of all collision avoidance technologies we considered adding to our product portfolio, this was by far the most cost-effective, reliable and flexible in its application

Maximum Risk Reduction – Least Limitations There are several means of collision avoidance and proximity detection, however the wireless technology used in developing the Body Guard system has been shown to have the least limitations. Infra red Affected by heat Camera systems Distracts Driver, constant cleaning Ultrasonic Affected by noise from machinery Microwave False alarms from objects Radar False alarms from objects GPS No-go indoors, needs infrastructure Laser Reliant on reflective surface RFID Short range Wireless Reflections on metal surfaces

Maximum Risk Reduction – Least Limitations Operates in smoke, dust, rain Does not distract driver from normal operations No ongoing cleaning or adjustments Indoor and outdoor use System uses real-time data – ID, groups of Types etc No False alarms from objects not fitted with BodyGuard™ Safety zones are individually adjustable Wireless technology showed the least limitations and the most advantages.

Maximum Risk Reduction – Least Limitations The Limitation : While wireless technology does have all the advantages previously listed that cannot be achieved by the other technology available, the proximity zone will not be a perfect circle in the presence of metallic objects due to interference. However, the ability to calibrate the size of the proximity zone according to the practical working environment allows us to minimize the impact of this effect.

Maximum Risk Reduction – Least Limitations

Developments in the very near future  Multi-Zone Capability This allows different sized proximity zones to be set for an individual vehicle, for example an 8 metre proximity zone which sets off an audible/visual alarm, and a 3 metre proximity zone which then dis- engages the vehicles ignition when breached.  Blue-Tooth Compatibility The event history from the Body Guard system will be able to be downloaded wirelessly using a secure android smart phone unit. Within the next 6 to 12 months, the following additions and variations of the basic Body Guard System described in this presentation will be available. (Some of these are already available now)

Developments in the very near future Within the next 6 to 12 months, the following additions and variations of the basic Body Guard System described in this presentation will be available. (Some of these are already available now)  Plug and Play Capability This enables the Body Guard System to easily be moved to another vehicle or fixed unit via a 12/24 V adaptor plug or 240 V outlet.  Proximity Tag with Removable Battery The personnel proximity tags will be available with removable AA batteries. The battery input of the tag will have a miniaturized physical lock to prevent worker tampering.
