6 Point Verification There are four requirements for 6 Point ID Verification: At least one Primary ID At least one Secondary ID Verifiable Social Security Number Proof of Address (on a pay stub/bill etc)

US Citizens Valid Birth Cert. US passport, current or expired less than 3 years Current NJ license Cert. of Citizenship =4 point documents

2 Point IDs US school photo ID with transcript or school record US college photo ID with transcript Valid federal, state local government employee driver license

Proof of Address Utility or credit card bill issued in the past 90 days that shows your name at your current address Checking or savings account statement from a bank or credit union issued in the past 60 days High school or college report card or transcript containing your address issued within the past 2 years If you are under 18 then the DMV will accept Parent Guardian certification that verifies you are living with a parent or guardian.. GDL Graduated Driver License-Sought to enhance driver preparation by implementing a multi-stage driver licensing system. The system gradually introduces privileges to first time drivers, extends their practice driving time and requires minimum age of 18 in order to receive an unrestricted, basic driver license.

GDL Restrictions placed on first time drivers must be strictly adhered to Failure to do so may result in a fine of 100$ or possible suspension. If you are under the age of 21 You need a decal sticker on your license plate

LAWS Must carry a valid license, insurance card, and registration Must be accompanied by a licensed driver A motorist who changes their address must report the change to MVC within 1 Week Legal name changed must give notice within 2 weeks

ROAD TEST After you pass the vision and knowledge test, if applicable you will take a behind the wheel course Under 21 6 months supervised Over 21 3 months supervised

Test Vehicle Requirements Must have a vehicle with a Valid inspection sticker, valid registration document and Valid insurance ID card for that vehicle. IT MAY NOT HAVE: –Obstructions or consoles that prevent examiner from reaching the foot or parking brake –The applicant must have a valid permit and be accompanied by a license driver –The accompanying driver must hold a license to operate the type of vehicle you are driving.

MVC Does not provide vehicles Vehicle can not be moved without a licensed driver accompanying it Elements of the Road Test: Purpose- to make sure that the applicant understands the rules of the road and can drive safely.

Reason for Rejection? The MVC can terminate your road test from the start. Improper, expired, or no inspection sticker Lack of access for examiner to foot brake or parking brake Any defects to the car: Poor brakes, unsafe tires, unclean interior, failed inspection, not properly equipped, fast engine idle, missing seatbelts.
