STATS AND FACTS  There are over 6,000 blind and visually impaired residents in Lackawanna County  Services for the blind and visually impaired are no cost  501©(3) non profit organization  Founded in 1912

STATS AND FACTS  Registered with PA Bureau of Charitable Organizations  Funded thru United Way, Foundations, Annual Fundraising events, donations, and PA Bureau of Blindness  Accredited by the National Accreditation Council for Agencies Serving People with Blindness or Vision Impairment

CLIENTS Along with Vision screenings, education is provided for children which includes the Magic World of Vision: Series of 4 programs and eye safety Children are screened up to five years old

PREVENTION OF BLINDNESS  Provides screening for over 2,000 children and adults annually  Lackawanna Association for the Blind serves 500 affected individuals on a diverse schedule  Provides eye safety education programs for over 1300 children and adults annually  Eye care for 200 individuals who need corrective lenses  The Magic World of Vision ( Eye Safety Education Program) reaches over rd graders in Lackawanna county 4x during the school year

CLIENT SERVICES  Direct specialized service for 150 individuals  90 referrals  340 for low vision aides  Provides in house activities for 45 individuals  Provides screening for over 2,000 children and adults annually 
