Athena's story

The curse of Medusa

Did you now that Athena & Poseidon had fought for what we now know as Athens. In this fight they offered gifts to this city. Athena had offered them an olive tree, which was a symbol of peace and Poseidon had offered them a horse, which was a symbol of war. This may have caused the Trojan war to begin, one side chose Poseidon and the other chose Athena. They fought for what they thought was right, but in the end Athena ‘s side had won. From then on they had declared that city Athens.
