WELCOME to A-LEVEL THEATRE STUDIES at HIGH STORRS

Reasons to take Drama and Theatre Studies at High Storrs We are a high achieving school with a Performing Arts specialism AS A-B 58% A2 A*-B 33% We have excellent connections to Sheffield Theatres and many other professional companies and organisations We offer a firm grounding for those wanting to pursue careers in the arts and rich diversity in addition to other subject choices Students gain a basis for study in Drama and Theatre Studies at University. Last year students went on to LAMDA, Leeds University, and Liverpool John Moores University amongst other institutions. Theatre Studies is widely respected by universities for its analytical process and academic rigour Experiences within Theatre Studies are unique and memorable It is demanding but FUN

Specification at a glance AS Examination Unit 1 Written exam 1½ Hours Live Theatre – Response to live theatre seen during the course. Prescribed Play – interpretation of set text from a performance perspective. 60% of total AS marks, 30% of total A Level Externally set and assessed.
