You can receive priority registration if you complete: 1.Online Orientation via WebAdvisor 2.Assessment 3.Online Advising via WebAdvisor Did you know?
Do YOU have to take the Assessment test? YES; unless any of these apply to you: Took the Assessment exam at another college. Took Math and/or English courses at another college. Completed the Early Assessment Program (EAP) at your High School. Have AP, IB or CLEP credits for English and/or Math. You do not have to take the Math Assessment if you attended a GUHSD High School and completed 2 semesters of any of these courses with an A or B grade: Algebra II Pre-Calculus AP Calculus ***If any of the above apply to you, contact the Counseling office to clear your Prerequisites (619)
Test is always changing! Every question changes depending on how you answered on the question before. Sections in the test change for your Math Assessment: Algebra Arithmetic College Level Assessment Test ***YOU CAN ONLY TAKE THE ASSESSMENT ONCE A YEAR***
If you are not ready for your Assessment test today… Reschedule! You will not be able to retest if you are not happy with your results. Review Go over sample questions (ask for Study Information Sheet). If it’s been a while since you’ve taken Math, you might need to refresh your memory.
Look at ALL THAT MATH! You can move up the Math ladder if you are better prepared for the Assessment. That can mean graduating/transferring earlier!

Check your test scores. Test scores will be available on WebAdvisor within hours of completing your Assessment test. Complete your Online Orientation (if you haven't already) Complete your Online Advising. You will need to complete your Online Advising session on WebAdvisor upon viewing the results. This is the last step required to receive PRIORITY REGISTRATION! Online Advising will help you in choosing which courses you should register for.
