Curriculum Updates State Approved Spring 2011: Basic Cruise Line Sales & Operations (15 units) Pending Board and State Approval: Aviation Management Certificate (35 units) A.S. Degree Aviation Management (60 units) Reduced Program Certificate and Degree Requirements to 35 units* Airline Customer Services Flight Attendant Pending Reductions for Fall 2012 Curriculum Proposal Commercial Pilot Travel / Tourism * Reduced requirements to be consistent with the spirit of SB1440 and AB 2302 on A.S. Degrees. Deleted all nontransferable courses.

Advisory Follow-up Recommendations being implemented: Promote the travel club Encourage students to attend travel and aviation shows and events Support credit by exam and advanced education (up to 12 units) Continue to expand hands-on training and simulations Train students in web resources and social media (added to ATC 101) Continue to improve technology skills with online/hybrid courses Add ethics in aviation/air traffic control (being added to new CRM class). Provide career alternatives in aviation such as airline management Expand job-shadowing and internships (added AVIA 295) Recommendations still being addressed: Add table-top scenarios (equipment recently delivered) Train in client relationship/sales scenarios, customer service role-playing Explore relationships with other schools in travel (CSU Fullerton/abroad) Research accreditation and best practices
