A Tribute to Leslie Burke From Jess Arons Created by Gina Marandino
It is very rare that you meet someone who will change your life for the better. This presentation honors someone who has done just that and has made my life much more fulfilling… my best friend Leslie.
Five words that describe Leslie are… kind courageous outgoing loyal imaginative
Leslie taught me many lessons, such as… 1.If you are always afraid you will never enjoy life. 2.Don’t worry what others think about you. 3.Take time to understand people before you judge them.
If I could give Leslie three gifts I would give her… 1. A crown because she will always be a queen. 2. A television set so she will not be embarrassed in school. 3. A pair of running shoes because she is the fastest runner in the fifth grade.
My favorite memory of Leslie was… the look on her face when I gave her Prince Terrien. She seemed so happy. It made me feel good to know that I got her a present that was worthy of her.
If I could spend one more day with Leslie… it would be a magical day. We would wake up early so that we can do a lot. In the morning I would take her to Washington to see some of the beautiful museums that I saw. We would walk around and discuss all of the displays. I would save up enough money so we can eat lunch at the museum. After our trip to Washington we would go to Terabithia with Prince Terrien and fight off all of the enemies. I will show Leslie how brave I can be. When we got back we would sit in front of the television drinking hot chocolate.
