Christmas Concert 2013

Jingle-Bell Rock

Jingle-bell, jingle-bell, jingle-bell rock, Jingle-bells swing and jingle-bells ring. Snowin' and blowin' up bushels of fun, Now the jingle hop has begun. Jingle-bell, jingle-bell, jingle-bell rock, Jingle-bells chime in jingle-bell time. Dancin' and prancin' in Jingle Bell Square In the frosty air.

What a bright time; it's the right time To rock the night away. Jingle bell time is a swell time To go glidin' in a one-horse sleigh. Giddy-up jingle horse; pick up your feet; Jingle around the clock. Mix and mingle in a jinglin' beat; That's the jingle-bell rock.

Slade Merry Christmas everybody

Are you hanging up a stocking on your wall? It’s the time that every Santa has a ball Does he ride a red-nosed reindeer? Does a ‘ton up’ on his sleigh? Do the fairies keep him sober for a day?

So here it is Merry Christmas Everybody’s having fun Look to the future now It’s only just begun

Are you waiting for the family to arrive? Are you sure you got the room to spare inside? Does your granny always tell ya that the old songs are the best? Then she’s up and rock ‘n’ rolling with the rest.

So here it is Merry Christmas Everybody’s having fun Look to the future now It’s only just begun

What will your daddy do When he sees your Mama kissin’ Santa Claus? Ah ah

Are you hanging up a stocking on your wall? Are you hoping tha the snow will start to fall? Do you ride on down the hillside in a buggy you have made? When you land upon your head then you’ve been slayed.

So here it is Merry Christmas Everybody’s having fun Look to the future now It’s only just begun

Jingle Bells

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way, Oh what fun it is to ride In a one-horse open sleigh, O jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way, Oh what fun it is to ride In a one-horse open sleigh!

Dashing through the snow In a one-horse open sleigh O’er the fields we go Laughing all the way. Bells on bob-tail ring, Making spirits bright What fun it is to ride and sing A sleighing song tonight. (repeat chorus)

Rocking around the Christmas Tree

Rocking around the Christmas tree At the Christmas party hop Mistletoe hung where you can see Ev’ry couple tries to stop Rocking around the Christmas tree, Let the Christmas spirit ring Later we’ll have some pumpkin pie And we’ll do some caroling.

You will get a sentimental Feeling when you hear Voices singing let’s be jolly, Deck the halls with boughs of holly Rocking around the Christmas tree, Have a happy holiday Everyone dancing merrily In the new old-fashioned way.

Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer

Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, had a very shiny nose And if you ever saw it, you would even say it glows. All of the other reindeer used to laugh and call him names They wouldn’t let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games

Then one foggy Christmas Eve, Santa came to say “Rudolph with your nose so bright, Won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?” Then how the reindeer loved him As they shouted out with glee “Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer You’ll go down in history!”

Santa Claus is Coming to Town

You better watch out, You better not cry, Better not pout, I’m telling you why: Santa Claus is coming to town! He’s making a list and checking it twice, Gonna find out who’s naughty and nice. Santa Claus is coming to town!

He sees you when you’re sleeping, He knows when you’re awake. He knows if you’ve been bad or good, So be good for goodness sake! You better watch out, You better not cry, Better not pout, I’m telling you why: Santa Claus is coming to town!

Silent Night

Silent night! Holy night! All is calm, all is bright, Round the Virgin Mother and child, Holy infant, so tender and mild, Sleep in heavenly peace, Sleep in heavenly peace.

Silent night! Holy night! Guiding star; lend your light See the eastern wise men bring, Gifts and homage to our King Jesus Christ is here, Jesus Christ is here.

Silent night! Holy night! Wondrous star; lend your light; With the angels let us sing Hallelujahs to our King Jesus Christ is here, Jesus Christ is here.

I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas Just like the ones I used to know Where the treetops glisten And children listen To hear sleigh bells in the snow.

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas With every Christmas card I write May your days be merry and bright And may all your Christmases be white.

Away in a Manger (Traditional version)

Away in a manger, no crib for a bed, The little Lord Jesus laid down His sweet head. The stars in the bright sky looked down where he lay The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay.

The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes, But little Lord Jesus, no crying He makes I love Thee, Lord Jesus! look down from the sky, And stay by my side until morning is nigh.

Be near me, Lord Jesus; I ask Thee to stay Close by me for ever, And love me, I pray, Bless all the dear children in Thy tender care, And fit us for heaven to live with Thee there.

We Wish You a Merry Christmas

We wish you a Merry Christmas We wish you a Merry Christmas We wish you a Merry Christmas And a Happy New Year. Chorus: Good tidings we bring To you and your kin; We wish you a Merry Christmas And a Happy New Year.

Now bring us some figgy pudding Now bring us some figgy pudding Now bring us some figgy pudding And bring it out here! Chorus: Good tidings we bring To you and your kin; We wish you a Merry Christmas And a Happy New Year.

For we all like figgy pudding For we all like figgy pudding For we all like figgy pudding So bring it out here! Chorus: Good tidings we bring To you and your kin; We wish you a Merry Christmas And a Happy New Year.

And we won't go until we've got some And we won't go until we've got some And we won't go until we've got some So bring it out here! Chorus: Good tidings we bring To you and your kin; We wish you a Merry Christmas And a Happy New Year.

Frosty the Snowman

Frosty the snowman was a jolly happy soul, With a corncob pipe and a button nose And two eyes made out of coal. Frosty the snowman is a fairy tale, they say, He was made of snow but the children Know how he came to life one day.

There must have been some magic in that Old silk hat they found. For when they placed it on his head He began to dance around. O, Frosty the snowman Was alive as he could be, And the children say he could laugh And play just the same as you and me.

Thumpetty thump thump, Thumpety thump thump, Look at Frosty go. Thumpetty thump thump, Thumpety thump thump, Over the hills of snow.

When Santa got stuck up the chimney

When Santa got stuck up the chimney He began to shout ”You girls and boys won’t get any toys If you won’t pull me out. My beard is black There’s soot in my sack, My nose is tickling too!” When Santa got stuck up the chimney Atchoo, atchoo, atchoo!!
