 In Romania there are institutions whose purpose is to monitor how the law is respected  1. The People’s Advocate  2. The General Direction Against Corruption  3. The Department for Fraud Fight  4. The National Agency of Integrity  5. The Office for Preventing Criminality

 Any Romanian citizen can address petitions when they consider that their rights have been broken by a public institution.  The People’s Advocate can draw attention by themselves and can investigate cases and ask further information and necessary documents from the authorities of public institutions.  Moreover, they can take declarations from the leaders of public administration in order to solve the case.

 Its objective is focused on prevention and fight against corruption’s offences in which, the ministry’s personnel can be involved.  The Anti-corruption General Directorate establishes co-operation with the public and private organizations with attributions in preventing and fighting corruption.  The ministry’s staff deploys its activity according to the internal and international provisions, observing the principles of objectivity, confidentiality and impartiality, as well as the human rights and freedoms.

 The Strategy focuses on an exhaustive analysis of the corruption problems that affect on long term the Romanian society. In order to obtain results with real impact on the prevention and countering corruption, as well as to improve the public perception on the phenomenon, there is a need that the measures adopted have a solid and objective basis. The Strategy is divided into 5 priority fields. There are two objectives corresponding to each field. The Strategy is accompanied by the general Action Plan and the sectorial action plans: public order, local public administration, financial-fiscal administration, health and education.  (informatii preluate de pe site-ul

 Anti-corruption prosecutors were conducted in order to identify the circumstances and causes which led to the occurrence of corruption.   Within the project „Campaign aiming at changing mentalities regarding giving/taking bribe in administrative services”, the Synthetic Report was finalized with the following conclusions:  - public opinion considers corruption as a general problem;  - most citizens consider the level of corruption in Romania as being very high;  - as regarding corruption in public services, public opinion considers it to be very serious.

  Implementation of the Anti-corruption National Strategy for ;   Continuing preventing activities performed within the MoIA personnel;   Initiatiating a collaboration for preventing activities with other ministries and public authorities;   Strengthening cooperation with Prosecutor’s Office units;   Improving the quality of criminal proceedings conducted by AGD judiciary police officers;   Instrumenting the evidences afferent to the criminal cases most efficiently

 THE FIGHT AGAINST FRAUD DEPARTMENT - DLAF ensures, supports and coordinates the fulfilment of Romania's obligations with regard to the protection of European Union financial interests, as per Article 325 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.  THE FIGHT AGAINST FRAUD DEPARTMENT - DLAF is the contact institution of the European Anti- Fraud Office - OLAF within the European Commission.

 "The powers of the anti-fraud co-ordination service regarding investigations have been increased and now it is allowed to develop intelligence activities. (...) the anti-fraud co- ordination service has concluded Protocols with the National Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and with the Financial Guard. The main attributions of this institution is to elaborate programmes, projects, campaigns in order to prevent criminality and to implement these ones, at local, regional and national level. The office monitor and coordinate the activities of prevention developed by the specialized territorial structures

 Our 2000 students from the two high schools are educated in the spirit of knowing and applying and respecting the law by: informative campaigns, round tables, debates organized by NGOs, Police of proximity, Regional Centre for Counselling and drugs prevention.  The development of educative projects: Be smart, not violent, All different, but equal, I am also a human having as a main aim to prevent violence, promote equal chances  Betting together with life, GLOCAL, Learn in safety, The prevention of juvenile delinquency in school area.

 The students’ advocate  - Identifying the situations regarding the break of the students’ rights;  - Facilitating the connections among students-school-family;  - Proposing agreement solutions with the teaching staff;  - Mediation and negotiations of the conflicts ;  - Monitoring the solvation of the situation.
