History An important event that marked the history was the war of Scottish independence. The First War of Independence ( ) began with an English invasion of Scotland, ending with the signing of the Treaty of Edinburgh-Northampton in The Second War of Independence ( ) took place on the occasion of the invasion of Edward Balliol, supported by the British in 1332, ending turn in 1357 with the signing of the Treaty of Berwick. Music The music scene in Scotland is very much alive around the country you'll find traditional folk music, bagpipes, classic shows and performances. But especially the more typical the grandeur of the bagpipes, the toe-tapping music of the fiddle and accordion, the proud custom of Gaelic song and the relaxing sounds of the clarsach. A very famous person in Scotland is Susan Boyle, because she participated in a competition where everyone was surprised by his talent.

Literature Scotland is a land full of history, legends and a lot of charm and romance. Some of these legends have served as inspiration for many writers. For example, Robert McGregor or Rob Roy, from 1671 to 1734, was a famous hero called by some the authentic Robin Hood. Rob Roy's story attracted the attention of many writers during the eighteenth century. Daniel Defoe wrote a novel about the life of Rob Roy in a book called Highland Roque. Another example is Rob Roy by Sir Walter Scott, The Scot was a prolific writer of English Romanticism and many of his works are today not only a classic of English literature but also Scottish. He devoted a number of ballads inspired by the tradition of the Borders region and in Germany (Songs of the Scottish Borders, The Last Troubadour...). In 1805 his poetry launched to fame. The Lady of the Lake was one of his most popular poems, written during your vacation by Trossachs and the islands of Lake Katrina. He also wrote popular novels such as Ivanhoe, Waverley or short stories as The widow of the Highlands.

Personal Opinion I think it was good to do this project because we have known more about our country, and this is very well.
