Interview Etiquette

What to wear when job hunting? What you wear is very important! You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

First: What NOT to wear Hats or caps Strange hair styles Sunglasses Hair rollers Heavy makeup Lots of jewelry (example huge earrings and necklaces) Sportswear (shorts, stretch pants, sweat suits, tank tops, t-shirts)

First: What NOT to wear Mini skirts or short dresses Jeans Sandals or flip flops Tube or halter tops Long or dirty fingernails Very tight pants Boots (unless covered by your pants)

What should you wear? A good thing to keep in mind is that the way you dress when going to a party, the park or to the mall is NOT the way to dress when job hunting!

Young Women A nice dress or a skirt or slacks A nice shirt (no low cuts) Dress shoes Minimum makeup and jewelry
