THE GREAT 1950’s The Cadillac Convertible invented. Political landscape: Soviet East vs. Capitalist West. New York teams rule 50’s baseball. Frozen French fries invented. T.V. provided everyone with news and entertainment. People born right now are called “baby boomers”.

Timeline November 3,1957-Laika is the first animal to enter orbit. February 20,1956-T.V. remote control invented. July 29,1958-NASA founded. May 11,1950-First modern credit card introduced. June 25,1951-First color T.V. introduced. July, 17,1955-Disneyland opens. November 18,1955-McDonald’s corporation founded.

1950 Cinderella released in theaters. Jay Leno born April 28, 1950. Silly Putty introduced For six bottles, Coke cost 37 cents.
