Understanding Cultures Besides your Own In a world where globalization has combined cultures, we have to adapt to these changes. I have been able to experience more of my culture by exploring its folklore dances and learning about the regions they represent. Studying abroad gave me the opportunity to emerge in the Spaniard life style and learn more about its people. Finally, working with Habitat for Humanity in the Dominican Republic taught me about housing in Latin America.
