Christ Church Tonbridge Christ Church Guild Thursdays at 2.15pm The first 15 minutes comprises a short time of praise and prayer. The next 30 minutes or so is given over to a speaker. These talks are on a wide variety of subjects. Sometimes there is other arranged business such as a Bring & Buy sale. Alternatively members sometimes use the time to talk and chat with each other and air their views on a particular subject. The meeting ends with refreshments - a cup of tea and biscuit - at around The Guild is a small and friendly group. We offer friendship in an informal atmosphere and we welcome visitors whether from within the church or anywhere else.

Christ Church Tonbridge Work in Peru There is a lot of work to do in an area with high use of alcohol and drugs, where violence to women is an every day event and leads to family breakdown. Rocio runs sessions for new Christian couples to learn how to have a Christian marriage, without violence and exploitation. We support the work of our friend Rocio in Peru. Rocio worked here with the young people in Tonbridge before returning to Peru. All of her family - her mother Pety, her brothers Roger, Daniel and Alejandro work alongside Peruvian Indians.

Christ Church Tonbridge & Kabushi Church, Zambia We have worked together to help them provide schooling for many children as well as a place to worship. Some of us had the privilage to share in the official opening in You haven't seen a lively church service until you've seen how these people really worship God! We have been fortunate to work with our friends in Zambia. They set out to build a church in the extremely poor area where they live. We got to know them and have seen the difference they make to their community.

& Chegutu Church, Zimbabwe We continue to support the church, partly through our AGAPE gifts scheme which allows people to support the needs of the local community for everything from chickens to mosquitto nets. Usebia is a church member originally from Zimbabwe. In 2006 our then minister, visited Chegutu to open their new church building to which Christ Church had contributed. Chegutu.
