Kick-off meeting  Expected results: 1. Working relationships between SDLN and Ex Libris project team are established 2. Project plan discussed – there is a preliminary agreement on the schedule of project activities 3. Working procedures are clear to both sides SDLN and Ex LIBRIS are ready to start working on the project

System Analysis  Expected results: 1. SDLN has basic knowledge of ALEPH and can start practicing on Ex Libris demo server 2. EXL understands SDLN libraries’ workflows and data migration requirements. 3. Basic system configurations decisions are taken

System Setup

Conversion

Conversion Activities  Define of scope of conversion (SDLN & Ex Libris)  Extract sample data (SDLN )  Create conversion specifications (SDLN & Ex Libris)  Prepare conversion programs (Ex Libris)  Run test conversion  Check converted data (SDLN )  Submit conversion problems report (SDLN )  Re-run conversion on full data (Ex Libris)  Check and accept converted data (SDLN)  Final data extraction conversion and and load  STP

System Testing & Acceptance

System testing & Acceptance  General system functionality to be tested on demo system right after installation

Switch to Production

 Preparations: Stop of all updating activities in old system Library is closed only OPAC for retrieval available  Extraction of full data  Conversion  Load  Test by Library  Operational acceptance  STP
