A parabola is symmetrical (it can be folded in half and one side lies directly over top of the other side). The axis of symmetry of a parabola is the reflection line that maps the parabola onto itself. For, the axis of symmetry is (vertical line) opens up the vertex is the lowest point. (The minimum value is the y-coordinate of the vertex) has a minimum value of 0.
