#1 AOSS Master Trainers Workshop  The Objectives: To Identify and Develop Master trainers for Asian OSS training community.  The first workshop in Singapore: - September 11th to 15th, School of Information Systems (SIS), Singapore Management University (SMU)  Participants: 45 participants from 14 countries

#2 AOSS Master Trainers Workshop February 5th to 9th, 2007 Open University Malaysia in KL  Trainers training Course for OSS essential training materials and curriculum  Industry/application Course making it relevant to industry  Joint session  72 Participants from 14 countries

Peer Review Model  Initially peer review committee will be formed to place Alumni to group Alumin under different skill set.  Then as a next step, they can be placed in a suitable level: For example – developer, specialist and evangelist

What to expect from Workshop?  It is a workshop, learning more by doing rather than listening learning more by doing rather than listening  Attitude “Let me do” rather than “This should be done”  OSS is all about sharing. Everyone brings some thing and shared among all. So, knowledge multiplied. If you come with nothing, you have to go back empty handed! If you come with nothing, you have to go back empty handed!

How this workshop will run?  We have 28 new members joining 27existing members!  Each new member will learn about OSS from an old member  Can ask 9 SMU student members also

Course Working Groups  Apache+MySQL+PHP  Enterprise OSS applications ERP CRM  Scripting(PHP), middleware and related system applications  Software Development for WEB2.0 frameworks: Symfony and CakePHP

Working  Some Members have assigned the group  Members can change the groups if needed according to there interest and experience  Members should identify there leader

Formula  Each groups should learn eXe software  Day1 : Standardize the format (include “Objective”,”Contents”,”Exercise” and “Quiz”)‏  Day2: Prepare exercise and quiz Convert work into eXe Convert work into eXe  Day3: Consolidate all 3 sections into 1 file
