Getting Started n You will find the directions for taking the assessments on the inside front cover of your textbook. n You will find your access code there too. n Don’t share your access code with anyone. It can only be used once.

Fill out the registration page.

To fill out the registration: n Enter your access code. n Fill in the blanks. n Click on Register at the end.

Remember: n The address you used to register. n Your password. Important! n Write them on the inside front cover of your book. n You will need your address and password to log in next time.

This will take you to your home page. Click on Start College and Career Success.

Getting the Best Results from DWYA n Find a time when you are not tired or rushed. n There are no right or wrong answers. n Answer quickly giving your first impression. Do not over analyze. n You will have a chance to look at your profile and change it if you think it is not correct.

Begin Do What You Are

Continue with the Career Interest Survey.

Log out or click on Stop when you are finished with the Career Interest Survey. If you log back in, you can view your Do What You Are Report. You can continue with the learning style assessment later.

To log in, enter your address and password. Do not register again. Be sure to use the address and password you created when you registered.

Click on My DWYA Report.

Take a look at your DWYA Report.

Notice some careers that match your interests at the end of the report.

Click on a career to find more information.

Part II: Learning Style Assessment The Productivity Environmental Preference Survey (PEPS)

Important Considerations n It is not a test n It describes how you prefer to learn new or difficult material n Usually there are 6 or 7 areas out of 20 that are important for an individual

The PEPS Learning Style Assessment n Measures preferences in 20 areas

Getting the Best Results from the PEPS Learning Style Inventory n Give your initial response. n Answer quickly, but carefully. n No need to over analyze. n Answer as though you were learning new or difficult information.

To take the PEPS, use your address and password to log into your account.

Click on Continue College and Career Success

Read the directions. Click Continue.

Begin the learning style assessment.

View your PEPS Report.

Your learning preferences are green.

Read the learning strategies that would work well for you.
