A day in Chipping Sodbury School

P.E/sports. In Chipping Sodbury School our sports facilities have just improved as at the start of the school year we had a new sports Hall and better equipment. Boys and girls are separated when doing P.E. this means that students do different sports, the girls are currently doing badminton and football whereas the boys are currently doing different which the girls did earlier in the year. We have an “old” gym which we use for gym, we have a “new” sports hall which all students use for lots of sports. We also have a astro turf where football and tournaments are sometimes played with different schools near by. We have a P.E kit that we all have to wear. Our Kit is a Blue and red t- shirt with blue shorts ( if students are outside and it is cold, they are allowed to wear navy blue tracksuit bottoms.) We also have socks that have to be worn and a red fleece for when we are cold outside but they are always to big for some of us! We would say all students enjoyed sports as we have good facilities and it is very fun!!

Food In the cafeteria there is lots of food there is a choice of jacket potato with cheese or beans or both or you set day like on Friday it is fish. Also if you are vegetarian then the teachers will give you something different like pasta.

Cafeteria In the cafeteria there is a range of things to do you can sit and eat with your friends have a snack or you can eat if it is cold out side pack lunches can eat with hot meals !!!

Our Lessons. In Chipping Sodbury School our lessons are well thought out as we have good, professional staff to plan what the teachers will teach in each lesson. Our main lessons are English, Maths, Humanities (R.E, History and geography), and science but our other lessons are just as important; P.E, Life Curriculum (life skills…), Art, Music and languages such as French, Spanish and German.

Days assemblies are set on Monday week 1 – house assembly AVON Tuesday week 1 –house assembly FROME Wednesday week 1 – house assembly SEVERN Thursday week 1 – house assembly TRYM Monday week2 – year 7 Tuesday week 2 – year 8 Wednesday week2- year 9 Thursday week2 – year 10 Friday week2 – sixth form

The people who take the assemblies are our house co-ordinaters who take the week 1 assemblies they are Miss.Emms, Mr. Yeoman's, Ms stone and Miss. Strange.

The assemblies are set up buy who ever takes the assemblies we all sit on chairs and at the end the person who is taking the assemblies picks a year who will packl all of them away.

We are expected to come in in silence and stay in silence until we are dismissed and sent to lessons.
