A Typical Day 7:30-8:45Start your day with breakfast in your hotel 9:00-12:00Enjoy a morning activity such as city sightseeing or a bicycle tour 12:00-1:00Lunch. Your group may choose to take a tour manager’s suggestion for the best pizza/crepes/paella in town or browse a local market and picnic in the park 1:00-3:00Participate in a Cultural Connection designed to immerse you in the local culture, or use an ACIS Walking Tour to explore a museum or sight 3:00-6:00Free time to shop for souvenirs, explore local neighborhoods or relax in a town square 6:30-7:30 Time for dinner 7:30-11:00An evening activity such as a boat ride, a show or concert, or a Culture Quest will keep you entertained – or enjoy activities as organized by your group leader

Learning Objectives 1.Learn about Winston Churchill’s role during World War II 2.Gain understanding about the empirical relations between Roman invaders and native Britons 3.Learn about life as an Oxford University student in England Each trip includes specific Learning Objectives that are highlighted during the tour and which will help you reflect on the history and cultures of the place you are visiting. During your trip you will:

War History Culture Quest - Visit the Cabinet War Rooms before the Tour Manager leads you on a scavenger hunt through nearby war-related sights. Tower of London Changing of the Ceremony – See the daily opening ceremony. English Food Tasting – Sample and learn the history behind some tradtional English foodstuffs before enjoying a bangers and mash meal. Royal Shakespeare Company Workshop – Learn the ways of Shakespeare during a workshop at the renowned RSC before attending the performance Life in a Victorian Village – Understand the day-to-day life in Victorian England A Student’s Perspective on Oxford – Tour the famous Oxford University and get the inside scoop from a student. Trip Itinerary Day 1 | Overnight Flight Bon Voyage! Your ACIS Tour Manager will meet you at the airport and welcome you abroad.

Trip Itinerary Day | London Welcome to England! During your visit to London you will: Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour that will show you London’s major sights, including St. Paul’s Cathedral Learn more about England’s role in WWII during a visit to Churchill’s Cabinet War Rooms and a war themed Culture Quest. Discover the secrets of the infamous Tower of London and witness a Changing of the Keys ceremony Experience traditional English cuisine, such as jellied eels and bangers & mash, during an English Food Tasting. Take in a West End Theatre performance

Day 5-6 | Stratford-Upon-Avon Walk in the steps of Shakespeare in Stratford Visit medieval Warwick Castle Learn about Shakespearean acting during your Royal Shakespeare Company workshop, lead by their world- renowned personnel, before taking in an RSC theatre performance A trip to Ironbridge Gorge and its Victorian Village will teach you about life in Victorian England Visit Shakespeare’s birthplace and Anne Hathaway’s cottage Trip Itinerary

Day 7-8 | London Return to the bustling city of London En route, stop in Oxford for a visit to the famous university. You’ll meet an Oxford Undergraduate and ask them questions about life as a student at the prestigious school. Learn about London’s most infamous sons on your Jack the Ripper walking tour Enjoy a free day to explore London’s many museums (free to the public!) or opt for an optional excursion to Bath, Stonehenge and Salisbury Trip Itinerary
