PRESENTATION ON ISSS OFFICE PROCEDURES INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ORIENTATION

Dear International Students! Welcome to the University at Albany!

International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) Office Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST Monday through Friday Phone Fax:

Please, keep in touch! Please check in upon arrival – we need a copy of your I-20/DS-2019, passport, visa, I-94 Form. Every time there is a change you need to stop by for us to have a copy of a new passport, visa, I-20/DS-2019 or I-94 Forms.

Paperwork processed Your I-20 Form – find your SEVIS number Transfer students with Transfer Pending I-20 – need to pick up finalized I-20 Continuous Attendance in September, sign and give us copy for the file You need Travel signature every semester if you plan to travel outside the US Request for Document Processing Status Letter Departure Form

GIVE US FIVE! We need at least 5 (five) business days or one week to process your request. However it takes longer during busy times, such as beginning & end of semester. PLEASE DO NOT WAIT TILL THE LAST MINUTE!

Remember to pick up your paperwork! We ONLY notify via if letter comes from USCIS, Social Security and DMV. Please, show your UAlbany ID to pick up and sign. Please pick up your paperwork yourself. We do not notifiy you once your paperwork is done!

Where to pick up your paperwork

Keep your originals safe! ISSS is required to keep international student files for 3 years ONLY after student leaves University at Albany. Please keep originals of all your I-20/DS-2019 Forms for the future.

Weekly ISSS Announcements Updates and other important information are sent to you via ONLY! You need to set up and check your Albany.edu every week. It is MANDATORY!

Important updates are ed to you! Immigration rules and changes; Fun events: Ice Skating, Apple Picking Trip, New York/Boston trip, Thanksgiving Dinner & more!
