Literary Analysis Essay Evaluation You will need two different color pens. Take both pieces of paper so that you have 3 timed write samples. Put your name on the top of each.

1.Rate the thesis on its parts: titles, authors, themes and sentence sophistication: 4,3,2,1 2.Highlight evidence in one color. 3.Highlight effect and theme commentary in a different color. 4.Draw a star next to the strongest paragraph in each of the essays. 5.Draw a question mark next to any part of the essay you don’t understand. 6.Circle words that show sophistication of diction. 7.Rate the conclusion on its parts: 4,3,2,1 – Restates thesis in different words – Connects the theme to world around us or our past. 8.Rate the overall diction: 4,3,2,1 9.Rate the sophistication of the sentence fluency: 4,3,2,1 10.Rate the organization of the essay including the topic sentences: 4,3,2,1 11.
