8 Reintegration Process 1. Enhanced Medical Examination (EME) executed in Theater, 60 days prior to redeployment: each Soldier across the Division, and it is all handled by medical professionals in Theater, in order to identify any issues before they get home, so doctors on this end can already be prepared for those particular Soldier's arrival 2. Chain of Command IDs high risk soldiers, gets them help in Theater and before arriving in states 3. Behavioral Health (BH), and other medical professionals are available to all Soldiers throughout entire redeployment and reintegraton process, as they are during normal day to day operations while they are stateside 4. Chaplains are available at arrival airfield and homecoming ceremonies, as they also are during day to day operations while units are at their home stations 5. A four-day pass is provided to Soldiers upon their return, but chain of command and BH professionals are on call D-60D-30RedeployD+1 to D+4D+5 to D+20D+60 to D+90 Med exam High risk ID Return to FC 4 Day Pass Reintegration PDHRA

9 Reintegration Process cont’d. 6. For 3BCT, reintegration training (RIT) actually covers approx 15 days, due to President's Day weekend in FEB 09. RIT generally consists of: RIT Block 1: (Half Day Classes) Training on POV and motorcycle safety, drug and alcohol awareness and abuse, sexual assault prevention, reunion training & marital assessment, suicide awareness and prevention, TRICARE and medical benefits brief (SPOUSES ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND) RIT Block 2: Reverse Soldier Readiness Processing (RSRP): individual Soldier exams of audiology, optometry, immunizations, legal, dental, ACS, etc. A further follow up form anything identified in Theater. RIT Block 3: finalize leave schedules, family issues identified, identify single Soldiers without support mechanisms, verify all evaluations and awards completed, complete all investigations/adverse actions, Army Career Alumni Program (ACAP) brief, update Wills and Powers of Attorney - PDHR is completed throughout the RIT process given the total number of Soldiers involved - There is a "Commander & 1SG Orientation Course" during Day 1 of RIT, as many of the Company Commanders and 1SGs have never been in Command in a garrison environment, and many never on FT Carson in particular - A 100% urinalysis is also conducted during RIT
