Background Domestic and international demand for technology skills continues to accelerate CIC focuses on Credential Recognition as a major component of skilled worker immigration HRDSC added Engineering Technicians and Technologists to the list of “priority occupations” for 2012

The New Reality -- CCTT Leads the Unregulated Professions in Credential Assessment Canadian Technology Immigration Network (CTIN) - Pre-arrival assistance with links to employers International Qualification Data Base (IQDB) - Expanded capacity to validate programs faster

Why Now? Federal and Provincial Policy makers are focused on the Assessment of Foreign Credentials New and expanded tools (CTIN, IQDB) provide new opportunities for promotion of International Qualification Assessment to international audiences Technology professionals considering Canada need to differentiate themselves in the labour market pool IQA will assist small-medium size employers

Market Strategy Re-branding a service – International Qualification Assessment (IQA) Leverage CTIN’s direct link to the CIC Working in Canada Tool Build awareness with employers through an aggressive marketing program in partnership with key stakeholders Promote IQA overseas through CIC and the ACCC Canadian Immigration Integration Project (CIIP)

The IQA Service An independent Canadian equivalency assessment of academic credentials for people trained outside of Canada Verification of educational documents Publication of e-Certificate which summarizes findings related to the applicants international credential Assessment stored in a National Registry accessible by Registrars, Employers, Immigration Officials and related stakeholders for a period of three years

Introductory special of only $ Canadian for Fast-track Assessment * *limited to programs already in IQDB $ for Regular Assessment Payment can be made by: Certified Cheque, Bank Draft, VISA, MasterCard or International Money Order
