BART Project Status CTC provided $40 million for the Silicon Valley extension –The first of six awards totaling $240 million  Final Environmental Impact Study to be submitted to FTA in November--record of decision by spring of 2010 VTA holding community meetings to provide updates on the project

BART Federal Funding Need to ensure BART is included in the next Federal Transportation Funding Bill –$750 million in federal dollars expected Carl, Mayor Reed and several CEO's meeting with top leaders in Washington DC –Between September 23 and 25. The issue of tax deferral of foreign earnings will also be raised.
