TOURISM PARTNERSHIP FUND (TPF)

Program Mission The Tourism Partnership Fund’s mission is to advance the economic benefits of tourism throughout the state by providing financial assistance to qualified partners for tourism marketing initiatives that attract visitors to and encourage visitor spending in South Carolina.

Program Goals To:  Generate a return on the state’s investment;  Carryout the tourism marketing and economic development mission of SCPRT; and  Support our tourism industry partners.

Eligible Applicants Federal Non-Profit (501) Federal Identification Number (FEIN) Organizations specifically charged with marketing tourism to their specific city, county or region.

Application Requested information includes a brief comprehensive overview of your project, what your marketing needs are, responsibilities of all marketing partners, estimated costs, and projected economic benefits. Overview 1. Give a brief description of your PROJECT. 2. Outline project goals and indicate strategies to obtain goals. 3. Identify market segments (consumer, meetings/conventions, group tour, sports marketing, etc). Then identify and explain your target audience for each market segment (Demographic target: women, families, couples, seniors, etc., and Geographic target: Mid- West (which states), Southeast (which states) etc. 4. Are you implementing new market initiatives? If so, what are they? Or, are you sustaining existing markets? If so, explain how you will sustain them. 5. Outline your organization’s overall marketing campaign. Within your marketing campaign, identify those items seeking TPF grant support. Performance Measures/Accountability 1. Explain how this project will positively impact tourism tax revenue in your area/region. (Show calculations and projections). 2. Describe all measurement methods used to tract the effectiveness of this project’s marketing efforts. (Inquiries, room nights booked, web site hits, travel show leads, etc.)
