Welding Apprenticeship Program Program Details: 2-year program Welding and welding-related classes at Central Carolina Community College 3 days/week Work/train at Caterpillar 2 days/week during their high school junior and senior years Caterpillar pays enrolled students during the school year for the time spent working/training and up to 32 hours per week during the summer between their junior and senior year
Program Benefits Earn a Welding Certificate from Central Carolina Community College for 24 college credit hours Earn a 10-hour OSHA Safety Card Earn a certificate from the NC Department of Labor indicating that they have completed the youth apprenticeship Complete 80-hour Caterpillar Accelerated Training program

Water Efficiency Low flow fixtures reduce potable water consumption by over 45% Local and adaptive plants that do not require irrigation and minimize maintenance Energy and Atmosphere Mechanical equipment is 12% more efficient than required Air Conditioning units use non-chloroflourocarbon refrigerants Indoor Environmental Quality Low VOC materials used throughout the building interior. Mechanical systems are designed for maximum comfort and adjustable lighting levels Materials and Resources 90% of all construction waste was diverted from local landfills 34% of building material content used in construction was made from recycled materials
