1 Highley Primary School Newsletter Grasmere Drive, Highley, Shropshire, WV16 6EH Head Teacher Comments What’s On Friday 14 th February 2014 Dear Parents/Carers, Believe it or not it is the final week of our First Spring!!! term. If you have been in school you will see the new carpets in three of our Key Stage 2 classrooms and the Key stage 2 corridor. It has made a huge difference to our environment. Over the half term we have organised for decorators to come in and paint the hall, so I am looking forward to seeing a clean and freshly painted hall on our return to school. (Tuesday 25 th February) This week, two of our pupils represented us at the Indoor County Winter Games; Pippa Goulden and Hannah Sargant – see their photos and awards. Congratulations to them both. Mr Leather took eleven boys from years 4,5, and 6 to a football challenge at Moffats School. They had a great time and I heard they particularly enjoyed the Tea after the match. Well done. Thank you for all your support this term with the Tommy’s Charity and the Football sponsors. Finally, we finished the half term with a fabulous Highley’s Got Talent Final. All the children enjoyed watching the performance this afternoon and a big well done to all the pupils who auditioned this year. We were pleased to see so many children sharing their talents. The winner this year was: The Clowns – Alex, Josh and Alicia.
