The Art Ambassadors for youth program was developed by the Arts Council of the Central Okanagan to address young people’s needs in community cultural development. Our mission as youth ambassadors is to engage youth culturally by establishing lasting awareness and appreciation of the arts in the Okanagan. Our Mission

-Energetic, youthful citizens -Socially engaged and committed to our community -Painters, photographers, sculptors, printmakers, graphic designers, actors, poets, writers, musicians, accountants, and students! The Arts Ambassadors are:

Our Vision To cultivate a sustainable artistic culture and community in Kelowna that provides opportunities for young people to create, engage, and thrive in the arts.

Goals We would like to create opportunities for youth that are relevant to society in the form of: -Festivals -Exhibits -Performances -Collaborations -Fundraisers -Forums -Programming -Public Art

In the near future… An Open Mic Night! -This will take place at the Rutland Bean Scene on Friday, July 9th. It will be a night for poets, singers, writers, comedians and performers to showcase their talent! A Fundraiser! -We will be doing a hot-dog sale with Save On Foods on Saturday, July 24 th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. We will be creating a buzz with live painting and music. There will be raffle tickets by donation for the paintings! Paint it Up Program! -Designed to eradicate graffiti and establish a positive program that engages youth to become proud of their community showcase their artistic talents in a positive manner. Look forward to seeing murals in unexpected places!
