Air pollution Air pollution is a very serious problem. In big cities more and more factories, cars and trucks add their bad breath to the air.

The greenhouse effect is a warming when the earth's atmosphere traps the sun's heat. Carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and other greenhouse gases absorb the radiation rising from the earth and holds this heat in the atmosphere instead of reflecting it back into space.

It's very important for us to “clean up our act”. Everyone can help keep our air clean and safe. You can plant a trees and ride your bikes. It’s important!

It protects the Earth from the violet rays sent down the sun. If the ozone layer is depleted by human action the effects on the planet could be catastrophic. Because the ozone layer protects both plant and animal life on the planet.

The ozone hole for the first time was discovered in 1985, at the southern hemisphere, over Antarctica.

Around the Earth there is a special type of oxygen called “ozone”. Ozone is important because it stops ultraviolet radiation from the sun. Many aerosol sprays and factories destroy ozone and they have made a very big hole in the ozone layer. This is very dangerous because it can cause cancer. Why it is dangerous for us?

The world has over 9 million square km of forests. But they are disappearing fast.

Forests are very important for us. We need them! The trees and other plants in the forest help to make the air that we breath. They also help to control the weather. They give us wood, rubber, fruits and many of our medicines.

 1. Re-used of waste.  2.Organize special places for rubbish dump.  3. Burning of waste

1. We must gather the rubbish separately. 2. Government have to organize a garbage disposal.

DosDosDon’tsDon’ts  Separate and recycle rubbish  Take a public transport  Switch off lights when leaving a room  Separate and recycle rubbish  Take a public transport  Switch off lights when leaving a room  Put all rubbish in the same bin  Use car every day  Leave the lights on all the time  Put all rubbish in the same bin  Use car every day  Leave the lights on all the time

 Think globally act locally. Keep our planet clean!

 Be kind to nature!
