DIFFERENTIATION IN THE LAB Based on your feedback – these are the common practices that we should see in every lab across the district. Are there any that cause red flags? Any that are unclear? Any we need to add?

SCIENCE LAB LESSON PLANS This is year 1 with this resource. Some lessons were a hit & others were problematic. Good to Go Strong Lessons that worked well in the lab. Something’s a little off Overall good, but minor adjustments needed Problem! This lesson is in need of major revision or replacement

KINDERGARTEN IN THE LAB Debi Goodman – Excellent Ideas for Quarter 3!

JOURNEY TO STEM CERTIFICATION Updates from the DOE – Looking for evidence of long term projects incorporating science & engineering practices Asking Questions (for science) and Defining Problems (for engineering) Developing and Using Models Planning and Carrying out Investigations Analyzing and Interpreting Data Using Mathematics and Computational Thinking Constructing Explanations (for science) and Designing Solutions (for engineering) Engaging in Argument from Evidence Obtaining, Evaluating, and Communicating Information
