Case Studies 1. Liability Coverage 2. Emergency Evacuation 5

Case Study: Liability Coverage Client Profile: Non-profit independent school. Student population composed of many nationalities. Student parents are part of the international business community or diplomatic corps. Background: On a three-day class fieldtrip a student fell out of the transportation vehicle and suffered a fatal head injury. The parents of the students filed a suit against the school Resolution: The school having had the foresight to include a general liability and personal accident insurance policy was able through the insuring company to compensate the parents of the student.

Case Study: Emergency Evacuation Client Profile: International school in Northern Africa. Background: Following the outbreak of political violence, civil unrest, and rebel movements, international schools were forced to evacuate students and staff. Resolution: The school was not well prepared with a crisis management plan and insurance policy that covered not only the cost of evacuating the expat staff, but also moving them to safe location.
