Markups and Discounts markup: amount of increase –stores use this to make money on what they sell discount: amount of price decrease –Black Friday!!

Finding Markup/Discount Markup: –(store cost X percent markup) + store cost = selling price Discount: –regular price - (regular price X percent discount) = sale price

Example 1 a music store’s percent of markup is 67%. A CD costs the store $ Find the markup and what the store sells the CD for.
