Get a Scholarship to Alpbach from the EFA or KIGA! Are you a student/PhD or recent graduate or an ambitious young person up to 30 years old? Do you want to participate in the Seminar week and Symposiums of the EFA but the participation fees are too high for you? Welcome to the Scholarship programs of the European Forum Alpbach and the NGO Kyiv Initiative Group Alpbach!
Requirements for the Scholarships from the EFA Seminar week & Symposiums 1) Application form (on the EFA’s website) 2) Motivation statement (max. 1 page, mention that you found out about the EFA from KIGA); 3) Curriculum Vitae (max. 2 pages); 4) Certificates and Transcripts; 5) German or English Proficiency (non-native speakers only); **For the Grant Subsidy -the Supplementary Form/ the financial statement For the Summer Schools: All above mentioned documents + Two letters of recommendation of relevant academic teachers, especially university professors; All documents should be submitted by regular mail. What does the EFA’s scholarship cover? Scholarship includes: the participation fee for all events of the European Forum Alpbach; Brochures and all materials for the Seminar Week, Symposiums and Summer Schools; Excursions, hiking tours, free public transportation (bus), including to the nearest towns; Coffee, tea and snacks during events and meal during receptions; Free of charge Schengen visa. ** In particular cases a scholarship covers accommodation (22 EUR). To cover expenses for accommodation by the EFA, an applicant should apply for an additional amount for accommodation –to fill out the financial statement form (on the website of the EFA). Travel expanses are not covered by the EFA.

KIGA provides scholarships with highly reduced participation fees If you apply to KIGA to participate in the EFA until April 1 st - the participation fee will cost 165 EUR; If you apply to KIGA to participate in the EFA until May 1 st – the participation fee will cost 190 EUR; If you apply to KIGA to participate in the EFA until June 1 st –the participation fee will cost 200 EUR. The costs you have to cover by your own: accommodation 22 EUR per a day and travel expenses.
