Our Vision Through the use of state -of -the -art technologies and real life healthcare related projects integrated throughout the curriculum, the grant will heighten students’, especially female students’, interest in pursuing the ECE program and increase enrollment and retention in this major. Aligns with NYIT’s threefold mission to (1) provide career-oriented professional education, (2) offer opportunity to all qualified students, and (3) support applications-oriented research that benefits the larger world.

Objectives Create a connected scope and sequence of learning outcomes to improve the ECE curriculum for all undergraduate students with additional foci on women’s roles in ECE. This will be accomplished by integrating application-oriented wireless network projects related to healthcare applications into the curriculum in courses throughout the program.

Goals Build application-oriented wireless networked systems curriculum that demonstrates applications of engineering in telemedicine. Attract and motivate undergraduate engineering students, especially females, to pursue wireless communications and networking academic programs of study. Incorporate faculty research into curriculum development and instruction. Develop undergraduate research through authentic application-oriented projects for innovations in healthcare.

Blood / breath alcohol concentration(BAC) is the amount of alcohol in the bloodstram or on one’s breath. BAC is expressed as the weight of ethanol, measured in grams, in 100 milliters of blood, or 210 liters of breath. BAC can be measured by breath, blood, or urine tests. Alcohol may affect driving skills at BACs of 0.05 We could use the BAC calculator to figure out the BAC There’re some factors that affect the BAC, such as weight, age, how fast you drink and so on.
