1. Govt. of Pakistan shall designate one or more focal points within government for matter relating to implementation of the CRPD I.Article 33 Internal Monitoring System 2. Civil society, in particular Persons with Disabilities and their representative organizations, shall be involved and participate fully in the monitoring process.

1.Government shall establish a committee on the rights of persons with disabilities II. Article 34 Committee for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2. The Committee shall consist of twelve experts 3. Committee should establish the basic human rights, anti discrimination and services law for persons with disabilities.

Chair person: District Coordination Officer (Head of District Government) PST member (Volunteer) General Body: 24 members 50% are PWDs or family member of PWDs Other members as follows: - Head of Govt. Dept. (Zakat and Bait-ul-Mal etc) - Head of Rehab Center - Head of School (Special & Ordinary School) - Advocator / Lawyer - Physiotherapistetc etc Co-Chair person: District Officer, Social Welfare (Head of Social Welfare Dept in District Govt.) “Twice a month” “at DCO’s Office” “Chaired by turn” JICA A STAR Project Steering Team (PST) PST = Internal Monitoring Team and Committee for the right of PWDs at District Level Experience in JICA A STAR

Experience in Japan (Not ratified, but…) Before ratification… 1. Leader of Persons with Disability rejected ratification!!! 2. Govt. of Japan established the Committee for modification of the national law on disability issue within the Cabinet Office 3. Basic Act for Persons with Disability was revised on 2011
