Objectives By direction of the European Union, the Lisbon Strategy is to develop competition and knowledge- based economy based on high-quality education. The objectives of each individual program that becomes a part of Erasmus Mundus must be: Promotion of a European form of higher education. Training qualified graduates and scholars from other parts of the world to obtain qualifications and experience in the European Union. Cooperation between the institutions of the European Union and third countries.
