HE established the theory of a separation of powers.

John Locke’s three basic inalienable rights.

He supported Enlightened Monarchy.

He believed that “man is born free yet is everywhere in chains.”

He asserted that life is an endless struggle for “power after power that ceases only in death.”

This is the name given to the government of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette.

This is the government that gave France it’s Reign of Terror.

This government was intended as only a temporary government.

This government had 745 members and many political parties that struggled for power

This government was deeply flawed because it included 5 Executives.

Although only a myth, she was credited with saying “Let them eat cake” when asked about the starving peasants.

He was convicted of treason and was sentenced to death.

He was the prim lawyer who orchestrated the Reign of Terror.

These three colors became the symbol the French Revolution

He was murdered in his bathtub by Charlotte Corday.

His last words were, “My only regret is that I am being sent to the guillotine before that rat Robiespierre!”

Not only did the people suffer from this cause but so did little rabbits and other wildlife.

97% of the population had no voice in government because of the flawed system of this legislature.

Government positions were given to those men with money and a title, not to educated men from this class.

This provided a living example that democracy can work and overcoming an absolute monarch is possible.

This document preserved man’s rights to life, liberty and freedom from oppression.

In 1792, France went to war against Austria and this country.

The politics of these radical men was apparent in the clothing that they wore.

This was the political party of Robespierre, Danton and Marat.

Brumaire and Thermidore are names you would find on one of these.
