WHAT IS ECO-TOURISM?  (UNWTO) All nature-based forms of tourism  Objective: observation/appreciation of nature, traditional cultures, education, interpretation  Minimises negative impact on environment, helps sustain local communities, supports natural areas by generating economic benefits for host communities  Generates nature and cultural awareness  Accommodation: ecolodge or standard type hotel
