Purpose of a Résumé  Job – typically leads to an interview  Academic Scholarship  Membership to Professional Organization  Research Opportunities  Awards/Recognitions  Introduction: Public Speaking

 Focus on the content, do not pay too much attention to how pretty it looks.  Limit the length of your résumé to information that is relevant to the position.  Be sure your résumé is error free. Spelling and grammatical errors can be caught by having a second set of eyes review your resume.  Avoid using too many font types and sizes.  Is your résumé electronic friendly?  Your résumé should be an attention grabber and should lead you to an interview.
