RESUME WORKSHOP

A resume is a summary of your background, skills and qualifications, which is for employers to review But more importantly, a resume is YOU. It's the only thing (besides a cover letter) that the employer will see about you, so make a good first impression! market yourself gain the employer's attention get that interview! WHAT IS A RESUME?

Promote your strengths; create strong positive images Target your employer's needs/tailor to career position Focus on what you can offer Be authentic and provide specific, relevant examples Employ action verbs; omit pronouns Administered, Developed, Organized, Evaluated, etc. RESUME BASICS

BRIEF is best! Use bullets to highlight achievements Include only relevant and HONEST information Proof for typos, spelling, consistency and grammar BASICS CONTINUED
